When you find yourself needing to migrate to another computer Avid has a very simple method of exporting your user settings.
Go to File and select settings
Go over to the User tab and Click on your user name
Click on the folder icon on the right portion of the pop up to set the export destination. In the example below the export is being directed to the desktop.
Under the Local User Profile (Non-Shared) Select the Standard option and click the OK button.
Go to where you directed the export and you’ll find your setting. For ease of travel, right-click on the folder and send it to a compressed zip file for transport.
You can also find your Avid settings via this path in File Explorer:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Avid Media Composer\Avid Users\your.name
Again, for travel purposes be sure to send the entire folder to a Zip file before uploading.
